SiteWide Links - Too Many Links?

Let me put two question:

Can you have too many links that can raise red flags?

Is 15,000 sitewide links are good or bad?

Let me tackle each one...

Can you have too many links that can raise red flags?

YES in some cases too many links can give you some penalty. For example...

If you sell templates and each user that downloads the template gives you a one way link from the template - and you have some 14,000 users (so 14,000 backlinks all with same anchor text) that's not good idea.

I will do these changes:

1) First I will use other link building methods. So it's not just these one way links from unrelated websites.

2) I will create different anchor texts for the templates - figure out some way that not all users that download the template will link back to my website using same anchor text.

I definetly don't want 14,000 backlinks all with same anchor text. That's so sh*t and so spammy.

3) I would even figure out a way that not all users will link to my homepage. So some will use different anchor text but some will link to some of the other pages of my website.

In other words I am getting links but in a natural way. 14,000 one way links is amazing.

But ONLY worth it and good if:

*You have different anchor text in the backlinks, some with your main keywords, variation of your main keyword, related keywords and variations of your related keywords.

*You get links point to your homepage but also to your other pages of your website.

That looks natural.

Second question:

Is 15,000 sitewide links are good or bad?

Sitewide links is different than the example above - these are all links on the same domain. So a website with 15,000 pages will give you 15,000 links, one link from each page.

Google does not count all backlinks you get from any one domain.

So it's not useless... but you won't get that same value as appears.

I would not buy such thing... for that simple reason that Google with count just a bunch of those links (will give you credit for only few links) and ignore the rest.

Seems pretty on the surface (waw 15,000 links - that's insane!) no? But Google has a way around this, they know sites can sell these links.

Such "loopholes" to get a ton of links fast is ending...

Years ago you could by hundreds or thousands of links from ebay, and instantly get a high rankings. Not anymore! Google had a way around that "loophole" of fast rankings - which is nothing more than cheating. Google wants quality websites... not webmasters who cheat their way to the top!

Remember the first example is totally different than the second example. The second example are just links on same domain!

How Many Page Rank 2 Backlinks For Getting Page Rank 1

How Many Page Rank 2 Backlinks For Getting Page Rank 1

I heard that question recently, and it's very interesting.

Seems someone is trying to buy high pagerank links to improve his own pagerank. Smart way, but I think it's better to buy the high pagerank links to improve rankings (with that in mind) rather than to improve pagerank.

Many webmasters go in places like guru.com, scriptlance.com and hire people to get them these high pagerank links. A mistake! Why? In my opinion there are far better ways to get high pagerank links rather than hiring someone - you do not know from where he is going to get you the links - that's number one.

If he is going to do article submission - you have far better options like ArticleMarketer. The service that kicks ass!

Remember, now Google can give you a penalty if they find out your links are "paid links" - means you paid to get the links. Even though they really do not have something very well setup to determine paid links VS no paid links.

But Google is always evolving and their algorithms change fast and change to deal with certain issues very well.

There are many reasons why they do not like paid links.

Back to the question...

You have to consider several factors to sort of calculate how many pagerank 2 backlinks you need to get your website a pagerank 1.

In itself the question may seem confusing.

I do not know the exact number of backlinks you need for your website to become a pagerank 1.

What I do know from my results, and those of others, is that constantly getting backlinks... everyday from any pr website for 1-3 months will give you a pagerank 4 website. Getting some 15-30 link exchanges a day, plus one way links from other sources.

Pagerank 3-4 is guaranteed that way!

But once again, to give you an exact mathematical calculations only search engines know the answer.

Pagerank 2 is easy to get just like I said, a pagerank 4 can be achieved within 1-3 months...

The pagerank thing is used by Google only. It's not useless, but the pagerank you see in the Google toolbar (if you have it) is probably not very up to date.

A backlink from a pagerank 4 page is always better than a backlink from a lower pagerank number page.

So your question even though I think no one will give you the exact number is very interesting - and raises up several interesting things about pagerank.

Yet, I do worry nothing about pagerank of my website. I know for certainty that the methods I use while optimizing my wbesite - will at the same time increase my pagerank to at least pagerank 4 within 1-3 months.

So here's a lesson: It's better to focus on the methods to optimize your website - the methods that work - rather than trying to increase your pagerank.

AND Go get ArticleMarketer and do a daily submission - one article submission a day and you see miracles on your rankings and pagerank.

Is Blog Commenting Effective?

My Answer:

Yes and No, depends!

It's not my preferred method because most blogs use the nofollow tag on the links. That means the backlinks are useless for rankings in Google. But good still for Yahoo, Msn, etc.

But the thing is you have to find blogs without the nofollow tags - and post on those. That's my suggestion, that's what I would do.

I only focus on Google, the best search engines... so I prefer investing time on effective methods that will bring me the results I wish.

So if you are aiming to let's say test out seo - how it will work for you, and maybe you want to use MSN for your test - to gain some experience - then yes commenting is great way. It's fast and easy. Maybe fun too :)

I would suggest you comment on blogs that are related to your niche - that way the backlinks you get will have more quality.

Obviously no spamming - not one line posts. Those get deleted most often.

For link back, I would also suggest to NOT put the link in the comment itself. Again because they may not approve your comment, they delete it.

Blogger blogs have the ability to post Name and Url, while commenting. There's where you input the url... and maybe a keyword in the Name field. Keyword is very important - but again you have to be cautious. Just so you avoid getting the comment deleted. You want them to approve it. That's your goal.

Work on good comments, maybe read the posts first before spraying some words in the comment section.

You can even outsource blog commenting if you wish. I like to mention outsourcing because REALLY, there are people who are willing to do almost everything for your money.

I once hired a lady to post on 300 blogs without the nofollow tag (email me for the list of blogs, which I used to sell for $5) for some $15. These are great blogs, high quality with all minimum pagerank of at least 3 up till pagerank of 7.

That's cool, but to find those blogs it's not easy... I have the list if you want them.

Link Bait - Effective?

"I'm a controversial figure: my friends either dislike me or hate me." -- Oscar Levant

It can be effective if you answer YES to any of the following:

* You know how to write.

* You know how to write content that other people will link to it... means content that attracts people, interesting enough that a ton of other people link to it.

* You can do the above very often.

Link bait is nothing spammy, in fact it's a great way to get great links - but as you can imagine it's also not as easy as it may sound.

How many of you can (especially if English is not your first language) sit down and write something so controversial & interesting that others will link to it?

Others here is not 1 or 2, for link baiting to be your primary source of getting links you have to, heck, get hundreds of these links.

It's however the best way to get links!

There is no doubt in my mind, if you can create that content that people will LINK to - it's the best backlinks (one way links) you will get!

Even though if you are good at that, you need other link building methods... so you also get links with anchor text of your choice.

But link baiting is great way to get one way links - one way to start is to look at social or story sites like Digg or Shoutwire stories. Check out which stories got the most hits, the top stories in your niche. What they are writing about that you can "copy"?

If in the seo niche one of the hot topics IS maybe an article controversial about pagerank. You can write one yourself on that topic - making it better.

And always make it easy for other people to link to your site. Put a Link to us page if you are going to use this method. I suggest you at least try to see if you can get some ideas and write something you think is controversial & interesting.

You do not have to get it right - just get it going a bit, and see how it goes. Maybe you won't get links instantly, you may need to write 2-5 posts first. But after all content is all good, so you are not "wasting" any time trying the method out.

If you are creative, you get ideas quickly this is for you! Give it a go!

Either case, adding content is something you should do to your website, so next time try adding something different... instead of an article or a tutorial write something INTERESTING and CONTROVERSIAL.

Finally submit that same article on social sites like Digg.com

Talk to you soon,

How To Turn A Rss Feed Into Backlinks

How To Turn A Rss Feed Into Backlinks

What is an rss field?

Blogs most often use rss fields because they get updated regularly. OutRankSmart (ORS) blog rss field is: http://www.outranksmart.com/blog/atom.xml

An rss field (click the link above to see) contains usually the blog posts titles and a small part of the actual blog post...

A list of the blog's blog posts... and whenever new blog posts are added the list is automatically updated. So if you bookmark that rss field and I add new blog posts you get to see them on that page as well.

But Karl, is it useful to get backlinks?

Of course, there are Rss directories where you can submit your rss feed. And they list your rss feed into their directory. This in turn displays in their directory your recent blog posts, and gets automatically updated.

That gives you one way links from rss directories!

There are plenty of rss directories and basically to get backlinks that is the most common method to use.

Rss Field Submitter is the software I recommend you use to submit the rss field to rss directories. There is a free trial, (but it only submits to a handful of directories).

Allow also your blog visitors to bookmark your rss field. This will give you links possible from social sites like delicious.com

So YES! you can turn your rss field into backlinks.

There are other places where you can submit your RSS field to get the backlinks. (Pretty much any website that asks you for your rss field).

Here is a small list:

Submitting to Google and Yahoo does not really mean you get one way links. These may be blocking the certain pages using robots.txt

But I still submit to them.

#1: iGoogle (get a free account at www.google.com/ig and login. Then click on Add stuff, then click on Add feed or gadget).

#2: Yahoo (Go to My.yahoo.com and click login, and click on Sign up if you do not have a free account. Then login and click on Add content, then click on Add RSS feed).

#3: Squidoo (Go to www.squidoo.com and click on Join the community, then login. Click on My lenses and then click on Create a lens now! Follow step by step instructions until it is created. Then go to Dashboard, click on My Lenses and click on the lens name. Then on the right side click on Edit this page.

Search for the option called: RSS: Add Your Own Feed: and click Edit.

#4: Orkut (Use the same Google account you have with iGoogle and login at www.orkut.com On the left menu under the heading Apps click on Edit applications. If there is a tab called My feeds click on it to submit your feed. If you do not see it, click on Add More Apps and use the search box to search for the feed application)

Not very long ago I create a new blog post which contains more ways to get one way links from these type of sites... more sites. It's called:
High page rank one way links for you!

So remember next time you are going to signup anywhere (could be a forum, a social site, etc) look out for the option to submit your rss feed.

Even when filling up profile pages (of forums, social sites, practically anywhere), if it asks you for your website url, make sure you put it down. Some profile pages get indexed and you do get the backlink!

Take for example Squidoo. You can edit your profile and you can fill in your:

*blog
*twitter page
*facebook page

I do all that because it helps to index my twitter profile page and facebook profile page - In those profile pages I have submitted my website url as well, so getting the profile page indexed is worth it.

Check out my Linkedin profile page for example.
http://www.linkedin.com/in/karlsultana

I added my website there as well. Then linked to my linkedin profile page from one blog I have. So the profile page gets indexed and I get the backlink.

So watch out as well when creating profiles for the option to submit your website, blog or rss field.

Talk to you soon,

Using OutRankSmart To Get Links - Video!

Hi,

I made a video showing you how I use OutRankSmart software to find link exchange partners - and get backlinks easy.

I know, my English will not amaze you as much as the software :).

OutRankSmart is going to be released very soon, just optin to get it at a special price and all future upgrades for FREE.

Plus I placed down Video Transcript too below:

-------------------
-------------------
Hi,

This is Karl Sultana.

In this video I am going to show you how I use OutRankSmart to make link exchanges. For demonstration purposes I am going to make 10 link exchanges, so you can see how fast and easy it is.

First I am going to select one of the methods to find link exchanges. I choose Method 1 and click NEXT.

In tutorial videos I go into detail why there are 5 methods and why it's just a feature to make things easier.

Then I enter a search term, one word only like golf

Next I click the Adult filter option and click NEXT.

Now search results are loading, I am going to hit pause since I am going to do just ten link exchanges.

First thing I do is Click on Edit Settings and fill in the fields here. Then click OK.

Next I click on Load sites, and the first ten sites automatically load in the browser.

What I do now is find the submission form of these sites. I do this very fast because it is just one click away most often. The forms get autofilled automatically. Next I start the submission process.

Starting from first site I pick up a suitable category for my site. Then I use the information on this page to link back. Linking back is a must do when doing link exchanges.

I have autolinkspro script here which I paid for, or you can use OutRankSmart to link back. In tutorials I show you how to do that too, but I have a script so I am going to use that for this demonstration.

Here I am going to add the site information and the script automatically puts a link to the first site on my link directory.

I just copy the category url where I placed their link and go back to OutRankSmart software. I paste the url in the reciprocal link field.

That's it.

Now I do same thing for all the other sites...

Watch and see how fast I do it and how fast you can and will do it too.

That's it, I just made ten link exchanges.

It just shows that finding link exchange partners is easy and making link exchanges is easy too. This software does much more than that though so go to www.outranksmart.com and signup to get notified once I release the software, which is very soon. You get it at a special price if you signup.

Thanks for watching this video.

OutRankSmart Software And Bonus Ebook Updated

OutRankSmart seo software will be upgraded once again soon. If you subscribe you get a special offer of course.

Go here now >>
http://www.outranksmart.com

1) Linkspages creation will be faster and easier. The software creates linkspages for ten websites that are loaded in the browser at once... apart from those that you mark as Ignore this site.

2) If some sites do not load because they have errors it's very easy to ignore them and avoid putting them on the linkspage. Just select a new option on the browser called: Ignore this site. That site will not be added on the linkspages.

3) You can also put the linkspages on a template to match it with the rest of your website design.

4) The sites marked as Ignore this site will also be marked as Not submitted in the search results screen. So you know that you did not submit to those site - later you can retry submitting to those - just by double clicking on the domain - it will load in a new browser tab.

5) Category selection for the websites to put on the linkspages is easier and faster.

6) You can double click a website in the search result screen and it loads in a new browser tab. So the browser is like Mozilla Firefox now, with the ability to open multiple tabs and close them.

The bonus ebook you get with OutRankSmart has also been updated. I added new tools I use to submit to article directories and more... Even new chapters I thought they are important. The ebook really shows you what to do to get high rankings.

No theories, no long lessons and learning about why this or why that - just what you NEED to KNOW is placed down. What I thought you do not really need to know about I excluded from the ebook.

Those other things you can read on the blog or in the other seo articles on my site.

The ebook will show you everything about seo... and the software will make things easier - they work hand in hand. You know I stress the importance of getting links. It's like it is the single thing you should do. In fact that's what you should be doing most... once you have done keyword research.

Obviuosly first thing is keyword research - because if you do not know what keywords you are going to optimize your website for - you cannot optimize it at all!

Keywords are important because you have to use them when getting backlinks - in the anchor text of the links.

So OutRankSmart and the bonus ebook go hand in had and both are going to be updated very soon.

Getting backlinks from forums

Hi,

This is Karl Sultana.

Here is something I do regularly, everyday when I am optimizing my website. I visit a forum, The Warrior Forum, in the subcategory: Warrior Reciprocal Links - Buy - Sell - Swap!

Exactly here:
http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-reciprocal-links-buy-sell-swap/

There are numerous opportunities to get links. Most members of the forum (you need to join for free to post) ask for link exchanges... but others give special offers, directory submissions, squidoo lens swapping - anything.

There is new posts everyday, that is why I check daily.

I always get some links - 1,2,3 or more everyday.

You can also post a new thread, asking all members to exchange links with your website.

Become a Warrior Forum member, and start checking out the section to exchange links and get backlinks.

You obviously can search other forums as well on Google. There are plenty others like sitepoint.com/forums where members trade links with each other.

Remember exchanging links is one of the best ways to get backlinks. Make sure you exchange links with websites who have ANY pagerank number and in ANY niche.

Create a link directory with categories and subcategories, the main ones just like I do with OutRankSmart site.

You can see the link directory here: http://www.outranksmart.com/links/resources.html

Feel free to submit your website as well.

Sidenote: You can do much more on forums then just exchanging links. Recently I became an author of one heck of a great Internet marketing site: Internet Marketer Symposium

I am submitting my articles, it is a win win situation for me and the blogger. He gets free content and I get a backlinks.

If you use a software such as OutRankSmart you will practically find an unlimited number of link exchange partners.

The software also creates the link directory, You get two templates to input in the software so it will then automatically create categories and subcategories for your directory.

Then you can find very fast websites, and it automatically fills in submission forms - and practically makes all the *work* for you.

Watch out, I am going to create a video to show you how powerful the software is... to get tons of backlinks easily.

Here are some seo terms explained:

Term #1: Link exchanges: a link exchange is when a webmaster lets call him, Jack asks another webmasters lets call him Paul. He asks him to exchange links. It means Paul will put a link to Jack's website (usually on his link directory) and Jack will do the same. He will put a link to Paul's website on his own link direcotry.

That is why it is called a link exchange. It is an exchange of links.

Term #2: Link exchange partner: in the above example both Jack and Paul are link exchange partners. A link exchange partner is someone who is doing a link exchange.

Term #3: One way links: A one way link is a link you get from directories, article directories - the places where you do not need to link back. You just submit your site and that's it.

When doing link exchanges, you submit your site but also have to link back.

So that's why it is called one way links. One way - you only get a link - receive without giving.

Term #4: Backlink: Any link you get is called a backlink. One way links, link exchanges or any other way to get a link - that link you get is called a backlink.

Term #5: Reciprocal link: When you do a link exchange, the link you get from your link exchange partner is called a reciprocal link (or a backlink as well)

When doing link exchanges the links you get are called reciprocal links.

That's all for now, I have to go and submit some more articles... :)

Talk to you soon,

OutRankSmart more features

Hi,

You will see more features in the create linkspages section... making it easier. Plus you will get two templates for categories and subcategories. These you just put in the edit categories box once... I will create series of videos too to show you:

Video #1) Everything about basics seo, in case you do not know what link exchanges are, one way links, why link back, how to link back and so forth.

Video #2) Tutorial about software, step by step how to use it... not just what the features are but exactly how to make best use of it.

Video #3) Specifics about linkspages because some people do not know why you need to link back to websites, what is a reciprocal link and where to upload files.

Video #4) Tips. Full video with tips, these will be helpful for the long term, you will get more backlinks and generally I say great video to watch. A helpful hand!

Plus I am going to add a new feature for those who already have a linkspage. If you already exchanged links before this feature makes sure in the OutRankSmart software you will not find websites you already exchanged links with.

It will basically spider your link directories to extract link partners and then makes sure those partners are not listed again in the software.

I am working on OutRankSmart, it will be great helpful software to get tons of one way links and reciprocal links. You can obviosuly signup for the pre launch special offer - the offer is already ON! Once you signup for free you will get "something" not just waiting!

Go to http://www.outranksmart.com
For a piece of the pie. :)

Regards

OutRankSmart upgraded!

Hi,

If you are already a customer you got the upgrade for free, including future upgrades.

Upgrade features:

#1: New skin, from golden color to gray color. See screenshots of OutRankSmart by clicking here.

#2: Ability to create linkspages. Means those sites that need a link back, the software has a feature to automatically create the link back of each website. Other scripts you can use to create the link backs cost money - like autolinkspro.com

Or you do it manually and it will be time consuming.

So this is a really cool feature.

#3 There is pagerank information listed for every website.

#4 What keywords you already used to search for websites, and what search engine you already chose (and other things) - are all displayed in columns. So you keep track of what keywords you chose already, etc.

#5 Browsers now can be maximized so you can easily submit the forms.

#6 The forms are automatically filled without clicking any buttons. You simple navigate to the page where there is the submission form. It will be automatically filled.

#7 Progress column allows you to keep track of which websites you already submitted to. If some website for some reason does not load, you can mark it as "not submitted" and try again later.

There are more features...

Thanks

Question from reader... On SEO, Traffic And Backlinks!

1st Question: What exactly are backlinks?

My reply: I keep it short and straight to the point.

In order for your website to get to the top of the search engines, you need to get backlinks. A backlink is a link to your website from some other website.

In other words: If someone puts a link to your website from his website you have a backlink.

2nd Question: Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I can ask you another question...........I have a website: www.johnlavin.ca which I have paid someone to optimize for the past 3-4 years.

Last year I began to see favourable results (I did 10 real estate transactions off it) however this year I have had zero from it.

I think the fellow doing the optimizing has too many real estate agents on his books, would that make a difference?

My Answer to 2nd Question: 3-4 years of optimization is a lot of time. You can see results within 6 months or less, assuming you did not optimize for the keyword real estate.

May I know the keywords he optimized your website for? That way I can tell you how long it should take you to see results.

I did not understand what you said: "I think the fellow doing the optimizing has too many real estate agents on his books, would that make a difference?"

When you hire someone to do the optimization, you should get a report telling you what keyword he optimized your site for. That way you can check rankings and see if indeed he really is doing a good job or not. Having a bit of knowledge about seo will help you judge the performance of the person you hire.

So if you provide the keywords he optimized your site for, I will be able to check out any progress and many other things.

Reply to My Answer of 2nd Question: Thanks for your reply. The keywords he has optimized are as follows:

house for sale in Mississauga Ontario
listed home for sale in Mississauga
Mississauga real estate agent
Mississauga townhouse
Mississauga townhouse condo
new home Mississauga
new house in Mississauga
new Mississauga condo
resale home Mississauga

He does give me a report each month which does show I'm getting traffic. In the first year I did a couple of transactions from it and that increased in the second to 4-5, last year I did 10 transactions and I had planned to increase that this year but so far have had none at all from the site.

As far as my question: "I think the fellow doing the optimizing has too many real estate agents on his books, would that make a difference?" . He handles quite a number of real estate agents and we are all competing in the same market, he does not optimize the same keywords for all of us, so I'm guessing that the popularity of keywords changes over time, but if another of my competitors has a popular phrase wrapped up I cannot use it.

I hope that is not a confusing answer. There is so much information on SEO out there it is hard to know which is real information and which is nonsense.

My reply back: So you need to know if traffic is decreasing, increasing or approximately the same month after month. You can check through your webhost stats, if they have cpanel. Contact them to find out that.

The problem here is no sales this year compared to previous years. So either traffic decreased or else you changed something on your website and conversion decreased. Maybe you changed homepage web copy...

To understand if the one you hired is doing a good job or no, just keep record of the keywords he has to optimize your site for. And keep record of where you rank for each keyword. Then check next month, see if rankings improved, dropped or are the same.

In cpanel once again, checking out traffic stats of previous years compared to this year. That may show traffic decreased, i.e the reason sales decreased.

One thing about keywords I suggest. Check cpanel to see which one keyword is giving you the most traffic from Google. Then see where you rank for that keyword. If you are not #1 in Google for that, tell the one you hired for seo, to optimize your site for that - to put it #1. It's better than trying to rank for a lot of keywords.

Just rank the one which is the best keyword, the one which already is giving you the most traffic. Since keep in mind the first three positions in the search engine get almost all the traffic. For one of my sites, I have a ton of keywords, but my sales comes almost all from the ONE keyword that is #1. The others that are #5, #9 etc, do still provide some traffic and some sales every now and then. But the one at #1 position makes the difference.

I would also keep improving my website, maybe next bit is hiring a copywriter for better conversion.

His reply back: Thanks for your informative reply. I have checked with my web people and they do not have cpanel. Is there another way I can check this?

My reply back: You can join Google Analytics for both traffic stats and keyword stats.

http://www.google.com/analytics/

They have tutorials and everything else to get started.

How To Automatically Write And Submit Articles

Just had a "hot" conversion with a friend of mine about writing articles to get backlinks.

The biggest challenge is NOT how to submit articles but how to put your fingers on the keyword and start writing an article...

I found a solution.

It's FREE...

It's easy, just fill in the blanks...

It's called, 8 Minute Article Writer.

If you do not want to hire a profession writer. If you do not like writing articles. Either way this is for YOU.

8 Minute Article Writer is a software and it will really take you less than 8 minutes to write an article.

You fill in the blanks and click on a button and it loads an article for you - complete with article title, summary, bio and READY to be submitted to article directories.

You probably already know that submitting articles is ONE of the best methods to get backlinks. If you write one article a day and submit it I truly believe you will see an increase in your rankings quickly.

Just one article a day. You can submit your articles using Article Marketer. They have the biggest list of article directories, your articles will be submitted to over a thousand unique websites.

Their unique service allows you to submit as many articles as you want just by filling ONE submission form only. Can it get better?

I think the answer is a big NO!

I see webmasters using article submission software, manually doing all the submission or spending a ton of time waiting for the software to complete the submission.

That's the old way...

Grab a cup of coffee, use 8 Minute Article Writer to create an article, then go to Article Marketer and fill in one submission form. Sit back and enjoy...

That's how I do it, and how it should be done.

How To Solve All Your Article Submission Problems

"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." -- Rene Descartes

Note: I suggest you consider this message as very important. It's from my experience and something I believe can help you if you are currently doing article submission.

Over the years I tried several methods to submit articles. Actually several software, from free ones to paid ones. I was stuck with Instant Article Submitter. It is really good and I still recommend it till this day.

I am always looking for ways to automate things I do, so software was the best thing for me. However recently I tried yet another thing.

Article Marketer service blew me away!

When it comes to article submission their service is what I just started using. Not only that, but even article writing. They also offer article writing service, since I write articles mainly to get one way links from the article submission sites. If I wanted traffic or to appear as an expert in my niche I would have probably wrote my own articles.

But I need a lot of articles, in fact I receive a new article a day. I submit an article a day through Article Marketer service.

You have complete rights on the articles they write for you. You can edit them, or even turn them into a special report (ebook) or put your name as the author of the articles.

I am not affiliate with them, you can check out the service at:
http://www.articlemarketer.com

Now the benefits of their service:

1) Fill in one form and you are done. Semi automatic software will leave you for hours standing in front of your computer manually submitting... they just autofill the forms. Fully automatic software do the job pretty neat too, but you still have to wait for it to finish, which can take hours...

Article Marketer is so fast, so neat - just ONE submission form is all you have to fill in.

2) Their list of article directories where they submit your article is the largest I ever seen - and for a reason. They keep adding new directories to their list. It's huge - thousands of directories. Instant article submitter submits to around 300... while semi automatic software most of them do not submit to more than 300!

Plus if you submitted articles last year and this year they added new directories, they will also submit your old articles to the new directories.

With article submission software, you just get an upgrade so you download the new directories.

You can pay $49.95 every 3 months, some $200 per year or choose the lifetime membership for $400 one time fee. To get articles written as well there are other charges.

But as you can see the value you get is pretty high.

Just test drive their free service to test customer support, get used to your membership area and so on. Then upgrade and forget about article submission - just write an article (or tell them to write for you) and simple use ONE dead easy form to submit it to their list of thousands directories.

A funny incident :-)

Warning: This is not meant to make you laugh so hard that you will feel pain or discomfort...

So I went to scriptlance to hire someone capable of doing link exchanges. It's just a freelancing site.

I was looking for someone to use my own software, OutRankSmart and basically do link exchanges.

The story goes on that I found a lady, she looked pretty interested in my project. I always try to make sure the people I choose have experience and know the project details. This lady seemed to fit perfectly. But she was lying.

The tragedy.

She downloaded my software, I took the time to help her install it, and then this is more or less what she told me.

"Karl, A friend of mine told me your software is illegal, you cannot optimize a search engine in such a way to get your site to the top! You are not meant to force search engines to become top that's totally wrong in it's self. It breaks the search engines
rules."

She kept insisting for like three days emailing me... She even told me she did not want to go to prison. No, seriously that's exactly what she told me.

This lady all I could found about her on the Internet is some sort of site on a free hosting account. In other words a newbie.

What I did is try to educate her a bit... So here are a couple of key lessons, even though you do not need to be a genius to figure out there's something wrong in her thinking.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via natural, organic or algorithmic search results for targeted keywords."

From Google help center:

"How can I improve my site's ranking?
In general, webmasters can improve the rank of their sites by increasing the number of high-quality sites that link to their pages."

If it was illegal than why Google gives webmasters tips about optimization. It's all there on their website. Then why did they create the Google Webmasters Tools?

The bottom line...

They help webmasters so they will create better websites. At the same time providing their end users better websites in the search results. That's their primary goal as the Internet most used search engine.

That's the story for today.

P.S. I firmly believe the only way to get a LOT of sites linking back to you is by using OutRankSmart (ORS). That's how to do it quickly and easier than falling off a log. With OutRankSmart (ORS) you have no excuse why you cannot get top rankings you deserve.

Funny incident - Actual Messages!

These are the actual messages this lady sent me... I am going to share the story with you in another post.

Her: I am canelling this project with Karl because, what he is doin is 100% illeagl!!! you are not ment to force search engines to become top that's totally wrong in it's self.

But I will let Scriptlance follow this up!

Me: Hi,

Please ignore what this ridiculous "programmer" has to say. Basically the project is to use a software to make link exchanges.

It just also means she did not even read the project description at all - even though she told me she did and knows perfectly how to do it.

It's just an seo project. lol

Karl

Her: Hi Karl

What you are doing is totally illeagl you CANNOT OPTIMOIZE a search engine n such a way 2 get dis 2 da top! Its agianst da law like I av already told u... It breaks da search engines rules...

I would advice you to go & look it up it clearly states on there dat, u CANNOT USE a 3rd paty program to froce da websites 2 da top! Perhaps u should of read the terms & cons on google's site before u offer dis project out.

I will post on here agian, I can post as many times as I like thank you very much :). Dis is noway an SEO project, btw, I did read ur project properly it was only till u give me da product name dat I found out that it was illegal.

Im not gog 2 risk getn banged up in prison just bc of da illgeal software dat people like u put on ds freelance sites, I would advice to take ur project elsewhere because, ur not welcome on any freelance website. Y don't u get sum other mug who wants to go n2 prsion to do it!

Her: Karl there we go read this!!

http://thatisright.blogspot.com/2008/05/5-simple-seo-rules.html

Me: For your kindly information...

Look here, I know you are a newbie:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization
directly from Google:
http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35291

You showed me this url:
http://thatisright.blogspot.com/2008/05/5-simple-seo-rules.html (that's just a blog post an article)

I have four years experience in seo, the software is my own, it's not third party and it's not even black hat (if you know what that means).

Search engines do allow and even help (like you can read in the article above) webmasters to optimize their websites. My software does just that... it helps finding link exchange partners.

quote: "CANNOT OPTIMOIZE a search engine n such a way 2 get dis 2 da top!"

Dear, saying that line is just more than enough to show me you do not know the meaning of search engine optimization. SEO means you optimize a website to get it on top - what you are saying is the opposite.

So who is right, a 100% newbie, who is trying to make a dollar on SL? Maybe not.

So why not learn seo before you waste my time...

I update of course if this lady keeps insisting - instead of trying to learn she basically denies reality.

OutRankSmart (ORS) Upgraded soon

Hi,

It's me again, Karl Sultana. To make OutRankSmart (ORS) software profitable not only there will be a major upgrade... but... I am working on new bonuses.

* Another source of one way links... 100% free.

* An SEO checklist. This is really great to make sure your website is properly optimized. Just by glancing at it, you also instantly understand what SEO really consists of.

But probably most important is the software itself.

The upgrade will allow you to:

1) Create linkspages instantly with the software. You then just ftp the pages. This can save you money and a ton of time. Instead of buying one of those scripts like http://www.autolinkspro.com for $80 or more... you use this new feature.

Plus it's all automated.

2) I also updated software to make it more user friendly. It displays alexa/pagerank/title/description and other information about each of the sites you are going to get backlinks from.

Within a month the new upgrade will be ready.

Of course if you have not yet downloaded the beta version, you can optin to get a special discount. Price is currently at $49.95. You get a discount.

I plan to sell software for $97 once I add more value to it.

Go now to: http://www.outranksmart.com and optin to get notified once software upgrade is done and get your special discount if you have not yet purchased!

I am working on more projects at the same time. Obviously I put updates of my progress on this blog.

My goal is to create products/services with the idea to get top rankings... making it faster and easier... the bonus ebook will give you a complete education on search engine optimization (SEO). You just READ that and you become an instant SEO Expert!

..no need of any diplomas.

Here's a tip: Download OutRankSmart (OTS). Go to http://www.scriptlance.com and hire someone known as a link builder. Someone familiar with link exchanges and seo. Then give them the software, and let them use it day in - day out for you.

What's important is to find the right person. I always like to ask them: "Do you love your work". That way you only attract people who actually love what they do.

Some one familiar with seo will do a much better job.

Create a new email account with Gmail or Yahoo Mail, so you keep record of all the emails you will receive from link exchange partners.

That's all!

Orkut and Gmail! Result IS BACKLINKS

Orkut is a social site like Yahoo or MSN groups, but owned by Google.

http://www.orkut.com

Technique I am about to explain requires ONE free Google account. With that account you can use Orkut and Gmail (which is Google's email client).

Grab your free Google account... and continue below.

Visit Orkut and create your profile. More you add the better... so if you have a picture upload it. These things connect you more with other people. It's fun too. So anyway, what you need to do then is visit Orkut Communities related to SEO. Find them, there are some communities related to link exchanges specifically... join those better.

There you can put in your request for a link exchange.

Then login to Gmail chat after some time, and you will see there are many new contacts that want to chat with you. On Orkut there are many link builders, if you join with a Gmail account they invite you for a link exchange.

So automatically you have lifelong link exchange partners.

Signup for FREE!

Pretty easy, there is NO big secret. But if you join using Yahoo mail for example, you loose a plenty of link exchange partners. Most will not reply to your link exchange request on the community board. They will simple invite you for a chat but only if you have a Gmail email address.

In my experience no one added me to msn or yahoo messengers. It's difficult if they do not have the messengers installed. Too much work.

With Gmail chat, they do not need any software. Just login to Gmail and chat from there. That's the BIG difference and the reason why they invite YOU!

And YES, you can also start your own community. That's a great way to be able to post what you want, anytime you want. You create the RULES. I like that!

Great technique that requires a minimum of effort.

Have you tried a 3-way swap of links so that you get backlinks instead of reciprocal links?

Robert A. Kearse

By Anonymous Blog Directories, at May 20, 2008 3:02 PM

Karl:

There is a consensus across the Internet that backlinks (1-way links) are more valuable than reciprocal links.

So if 3 related sites, A. B, and C with similar themes get together and trade links, they will each end up with a 1-WAY BACKLINK.

What could be fraudulent about that??

Best of siccess,

Robert A. Kearse

By Anonymous Blog Directory Backlinks, at May 20, 2008 3:20 PM

3 way links are also good, there is nothing fraudulent about them!

If you get a request for a 3 way link exchange obviously accept it.

I keep record of all 3 way link trades I do in a notepad file. For link exchanges I use autolinkspro.com to keep track where my link partners are linking back.

Then check every 1-3 months to see they are still linking back.

I personally use OutRankSmart software to get links, so I do not bother in asking for 3 ways - they are more time consuming...

ARTICLE: Brand New Method To Find Link Exchange Partners

I am going to give you some tips before you read my article:

>> See how I use Internal linking to get my site ranked for the keyword improve search engine rankings.
>> I mention forums and recommend the warrior forum (where I spend a lot of time) and Sitepoint forums

It took me maybe 5minutes or less to create this article. I already mentioned how I do it in:
How to Write an Article in 3 Minutes or Less

So here is an often overlooked method to find link exchange partners.

Gmail client, has a feature inside which allows you to instantly chat with your contacts. This is something many of us use, because you do not need to install any software to chat.

If you already make a lot of link exchanges and you have a Gmail account, you should go on Gmail chat to see how many more link exchange you can make. The goal is to find link exchange partners that have a Gmail account. The best way to find these potential link exchange partners is through Orkut or Google groups. There find communities or groups that are specific for exchanging links, and start inviting webmasters for a Gmail chat. Many automatically send an invite to you.

Sending an invitation is done through your Gmail account. To be able to chat with other webmasters you have to invite them first, then they have to accept.

On these groups or communities you can find lots of deals for trading links. However many may be to busy to reply, so if you get them on a chat, that is the best way to exchange links fast.

On chat you can push further, ask them for an article exchange, for a blog link exchange or to become a co author for your blog if they are great authors. Do not just ask for a link exchange. On chat you can do more.

Gmail chat is proven to be effective so if you are still using Gmail standard version without chat, it is time to switch to Gmail with chat. You can easily do this from within your Gmail account. If you been doing link exchanges for a long time already, you probably already have a
dozen invitation waiting for your approval.

There is another advantage with this method, because if you create a new website, you already have potential link exchange partner waiting to exchange links. With a click on the mouse you chat with link partners.

The same thing applies for other messengers, but mainly Yahoo and MSN. Those are the other most popular ones. I suggest you create a section on your messenger and start adding contacts. Even if you do not know them at all, but you know they are doing SEO, you never know. They might be very willing to exchange links with you.

This is also a great way to build up a big list of contacts on these other two messengers as well. Chatting is much better than simple sending requests by email, so do not ignore this simple method.

Long term link partners are one of the best things you have, to gradually improve search engine rankings.

Where do you find the contacts?

Some forums display the users messengers ids, so you can find marketing, search engine optimization or related forums. You may even want to post a new thread asking if anyone is interested to come up on messenger for a chat.

Orkut is another great place to find Gmail contacts. Then there is yahoo, Google and msn groups and maybe even yahoo and live answers.

So by applying this method you have a new method to get link exchange partners, which are twice as better than those you get via email.

Hi Donna,

NO!

Get links from any category, look at my blog sidebar, are they related? nope.

Donna,

Actually for link exchanges you can safely get links from related and unrelated websites - but for sidebar or other sections of your website I will only exchange with related sites..

My sidebar has pretty much all related.

ARTICLE: Exactly How To Submit Articles To Get One Way Links

This is a problem we face since the so called Duplicate Content Theory. Article submission to hundreds of websites is no longer effective and also dangerously bad. Is that correct?

When you submit your article to a 100 directories, search engines than find 100 links to your site (in a day) all with same anchor text. They consider this as spam.

But, most often article directories do not approve your articles instantly, some take a day, others a week so you won't get too many links at once. So you can still use a software to submit your articles, and the more you submit the more backlinks you get. That's the great thing. There are no bad side effects by doing this.

Secondly, you should change the anchor text often. Put a keyword in the anchor text.

Here's the best method to get one way links using articles:

1) Create an article.

Then post the article on your blog or website. Your website needs new content create a new page for each article. Then put a link to each of your articles on a page which you may call Articles. Do not link to each of your article pages from your homepage, keep everything well organized both for search engines and your visitors.

2) Wait until the search engines index the page with your article, that way the article is now yours. Search engines now know that you are the owner of the article. To get the page indexed fast you can link to it from the sitemap or from the homepage until it gets indexed, then remove the link.

If your website is brand new, skip this step and do not wait until the article gets indexed before submitting it to article directories.

3) Now you can submit your article to major directories.

Finally contact webmasters that are publishing articles on their website and ask them for a link exchange. This may be the most difficult part, that is why I skip it or work less on it.

You can though use some services or forums where you can swap articles with other webmasters. That is much easier.

4) Check to see if others are using your article on their website without using your bio information. :) This may be a good idea to do, because you can contact them and let them know and at the same time suggest to them your other articles.

Do not worry if people put your articles on their websites without linking to your site. It does happen to all of us, and you waste time struggling with these things. However it's good idea to contact some who posted your articles, and tell them you have more.

Tell them they can also put your other articles on their site. Or better yet, tell them you wish to become an author for their blog or website, so you can post whenever you want.

And you always get a link back to your website from each article. And remember when you post articles in directories add something like this at the end of the article:

CopyRight All rights reserved

That's how article marketing helps you to get one way links. Remember, many theories spread like wildfire, but not all of them are genuine.

ARTICLE: The Truth About Link Exchanges!

"I don't want any yes-men around me. I want everybody to tell me the truth even if it costs them their jobs." -- Samuel Goldwyn

I believe Link Exchanges still provide quality and useful backlinks that search engine love. There is no right or wrong way to make link exchanges, but you must follow certain guidelines which I shall explain below.

In my experience I have seen big improvements in search engines rankings after getting reciprocal links from related websites.

Link exchange guidelines:

Get reciprocal links only from sites that are related to your own at first. Best thing to do is create a directory with categories and subcategories. Like ebay although you won't need to have hundreds of subcategories. Once you build a strong link exchange directory with related sites start getting links from any type of site.

This only applies if your website is brand new but also if you get links slowly. If you are experienced, and know how to get many link exchanges fast, then there is no need to create a highly focused directory before getting links from any category.

A link is important, so important that it does not need to be on a page with 40 other links to be considered important. All links are required, so accept a link even if there are a hundred other links on the same page.

The only time I reject a link is when a webmaster creates a page on his site, totally blank, and he does not link to it from anywhere. So it cannot get indexed any time. They just upload the page on the server and that's it.

Installing one of the free plugins that display links that are using nofollow tags is also important. So make sure your links won't be using nofollow tags.

Pay attention to three way link exchanges from certain type of sites. If you link to site A, and the webmaster then links to you from a directory (not a site) that is no good. At least get a link from a website.

4 Do not link exchange with directories. They have no content and most of them have categories that relate to everything you can imagine. All links are important, but still I ignore directories, I submit my website to many directories but not to those that require a link back.

Making link exchanges with sites hosted on free webservers is not bad, however these websites usually do not last long, the webmaster may buy a domain and all links get lost. But it is still a link, so get it if you can.

6. Check their links pages, and if they have too many characters in the URL pay attention. If it is too long search engines cannot index that page and a link on the page is useless.

However check to see if some of the pages got indexed, if at least one got indexed then even the rest can get indexed.

Those are basic rules.

If you have a blog do blog link exchange, you place their blog on the sidebar and vice versa. They might also accept an article exchange which is even better.

I check to see if my link partners are still linking back once a month, assuming you don't have some directory that does the work for you. Before I delete any links I send the webmaster an email or use their contact form. Sometimes they just move the site to a better location not always remove link. So good thing to check before deleting link partners.

Getting too many link exchanges at once is also not recommended. That looks very spammy and even worse if they all have same anchor text. So for a whole month you did nothing than all of a sudden you have 100 new links in one day.

Done slowly and every day, say 30 links a day that is absolutely great. Whatever the amount it must be the same every day approximately. I can tell from my results. It is also good news because you work less. Now OutRankSmart brand new seo software, allows you to get more than just 30 a day. 200 or more a day is realistic with outranksmart and the 'work' is clicking mouse.

Hope that all this information helps. Even though the keywords you select are very competitive you still are able to get good results if you focus on getting links.

Excellent post! i will try to do the same

By Blogger Santa Claus, at March 17, 2008 5:40 PM

It is tempting to try to accept every link exchange request that is offered. Your article clearly indicates that a webmaster needs discipline to just say no to link exchanges that won't help and could possibly hurt your site. I have certainly been guilty of agreeing to link exchange with sites that won't help my page rank.

By Anonymous Gary at Jewelry Making by WigJig, at October 6, 2008 8:22 AM

Gary,

Nothing difficult...
Just make sure the sites you exchange with are OK... means they are doing things neatly and seo friendly.

Make sure site is not Banned (if the site is indexed or have some pr, it is not banned)

Check that the linkspage is indexed or if not that they link to it from an indexed page (like the homepage)

Check that they are NOT using the nofollow tag on your link. You can use a plugin for Mozilla called SearchStatus to check the nofollow tags.

If all is ok, exchange links.
Again it does not matter their pr or the niche the site is in.

OutRankSmart software solves the link exchange tasks - since they are not too easy to do sometimes. It only finds those websites that are SEO Friendly!

High page rank one way links for you!

These are not common methods to get one way links like article submission. Special sites are sites that either have a high page rank or not commonly known and I called them special.

I bookmarked these sites, and anytime I have a new site I submit to them all, and get plenty of one way links from sites that have authority or high pagerank. (also helps index website)

I am going to mention the special sites:

PixelGroovy - This site allows you to submit tutorials related to computers. (Ex: How to tweak windows xp) You place a link to the page where you wrote the tutorial. If you wrote it on a blog you get one way link to that page.

http://pixelgroovy.com/

Digg - Probably you already read about it. On digg you can submit stories. You submit the link where you have your story or article. That is great to get one way links.

http://digg.com/

Slashdot - Same like Digg.

http://slashdot.org/

Shoutwire Stories - Same like Digg
These sites like Digg, Shoutwire and similar give you links to different pages on your site and that is important cause when doing SEO you should not only get links to your domain name. Getting too many links to your home page only looks spammy to the Search Engines.

http://www.shoutwire.com/

Sure Fire Downloads - First of all you can download products and services for free. The idea is to review products, then edit your profile and include links. Your profile gets indexed after you review some products and you get one way links.

http://www.surefirewealth.com/

NEW

Create a page on http://www.freelink.org/ and then get it indexed by linking to it from an already indexed page. An example of a page: http://www.freelink.org/smithkarl

W8.net - This is a search engine that will list your sites instantly after you use their add url form.

Add URL

Craiglist This is a classified website, but has lots of high PR pages. Post your services for free if it fits in a category and place your link.

You probably already heard about craiglist before. (ad will expire so this is mainly good to get indexed fast)
www.craigslist.org

Msn, Orkut, groups- I just create a group or get a couple links and then edit my profile and put links on my profile. Then put a link to my profiles from my other sites so the profiles gets indexed.

groups.msn.com
orkut.com

Google and msn groups use nofollow tags so links won't have any value.

ProBlogger - This blog has lots of content and even high PR pages. Placing a comment and submitting your link at the same time is how you get a oneway link. Of course you don't place ads but a decent comment.

www.problogger.net

Squidoo.com PR7

You can create your own page that may contain one way links to your site. On the page you can also add rss fields, content and muc more.

Then index the page same like with the About Me Page.

Zaadz.com PR6

One way links from this website by creating your profile. Your profile will have many pages and you can add links on the blog page. So then index that page. Adding content not just links gives the links is always best to improve quality of the one way links.

Blogmyway.org PR4

This website allows you to create blogs. You get one way links by creating your blog, adding some content and links with anchor text. There are many more sites like this mainly blogger.com, wordpress.org, typekey.com. You can also create your profile which will also include a link to your site.

Then index your blog and profile.

Ryze.com PR7

Create your profile and you may include content as well and links to your site. One way links!

Then index your profile page.

Mybloglog.com PR7
This is another social websites, you can add your link in the profile and even content. Then index the page.

Hi5.com PR5

Create your profile, which may include content and links to your site, then index the profile page. This is like Myspace.com social website.

Care2.com PR7

Again you create your profile with links to your site, and index the page. You can place content and links in the My Billboard Section of your profile. You may need Internet Explorer to edit your profile. On Mozilla some options could not work.

Socialsourcecommons.org

This has no page rank yet, cause it is very new. You can add your software, tools, website, blog, and provide detail information about it. Add the history information, support, features, details and more.

Typekey.com PR5

If you have a free account, you can add links in your profile, with your chosen anchor text. Then index your profile page. This is like blogger.com or wordpress.org. Not suggesting you create a blog but editing your profile.

I chose these websites because they all have high page rank and and are very popular with the search engines. A link from these sites, is very powerful.

NOTE: Some sites may change their policy and include the nofollow tags on links. I have no control on that thing...

Thanks for all link exchange request. My site is already PR2 and it is brand new, probably about 1-2 MAX months old.

To be honest, I did not work much on it because I could have done better.

So I expect to get an even higher pagerank very soon.

Thanks,
Karl

Hi Karl,
You have provided a list of many good sites. It's always good to read about SEO and specifically about new ways to get quality back links. I'm going to get busy going through these sites. Thanks

How much are link exchanges effective?

I believe Link Exchanges still provide quality and useful backlinks that search engine love.

In my experience I have seen big improvements in search engines after getting reciprocal links from related websites and even unrelated websites.

Link exchange guidelines:

1 Get reciprocal links only from any website in any niche. Best thing to do is create a directory with categories and subcategories. Like ebay.com although you won't need to have hundreds of subcategories. Once you build a strong link exchange directory you will start to attract even more link exchange requests.

2 When submitting your website if they have categories place your site in best category, and email webmaster back if your link is on a link farm (more than 100 other links on the same page)

Usually when I reply and tell them to move my site or show the webmaster they are doing wrong they change and fix the links pages.

3 Pay attention to three way link exchanges from certain type of sites. If you link to site A, and the webmaster then links to you from a directory (not a site) that is no good. At least get a link from a website.

A directory is nothing but a site with links.

4 Do not link exchange with directories. They have no content and most of them have categories that relate to everything you can imagine. Just submit to directories that do not require a link back.

5 Before getting a link from another website make also sure that their home page has some content.

Pay attention if the site has too many popups or really bad design - in that case what I do is check if the homepage is indexed at least... If it is I exchange links with them. I also link to sites hosted on free servers. A link is really that important that if possible do everything you can to get a backlink.

6. Check their links pages, and if they have too many characters in the URL like:
Thisisnumbersix.com/linkspages/ed/categories.__?abc54322121321. (And many characters like that) If it is too long search engines cannot index that page and a link on the page is useless.

So what you do? Just check out if any page of the links pages - or the links pages homepage (if they have a directory style of links pages) if some of the pages are indexed. If some got indexed that exchange links with them... it means probably even the page where they will put your link will get indexed.

Do not worry about these terms like links pages and link directory.

Some webmasters have just a one page on their site, which is suppose to be the page where they put the link exchange partners. They put all links on ONE page.

Bad.

Others like me have a links pages organized with categories and subcategories. We call that a link directory. That is how you should create your links pages...

Those are basic rules.

If you have a blog do blog link exchange, you place their blog on the sidebar and vice versa. They might also accept an article exchange which is even better. Do not though put more than 100 links on your blog sidebar. Till 100 it is ok, more it will look spammy and Google does not like it - it's called a link farm.

I check to see if my link partners are still linking back once a month, assuming you don't have some script that does it automatically work for you. Before I delete any links I send the webmaster an email or use their contact form. Sometimes they just move the site to a better location not always remove link.

Getting too many link exchanges at once is also not recommended. That looks very spammy and even worse if they all have same anchor text. I am talking about getting a 100 links a day.

Done slowly and every day, say 30 links a day that is absolutely great! Whatever the amount it must be the same very day approximately. I can tell from my results. It is also good news because you work less.

Regularly, steadily get new backlinks everyday with different anchor texts.

Hope that all this information helps. My niche is very competitive and still I was able to get good results so this shows that it works.
