Make sure the blog has content - maybe it should have some 10 posts

Submit the Blog Rss Feed to Rss Directories - these are directories like for example: http://www.feedage.com

An RSS directory allows you to submit your blog content (therefore your RSS feed) and it allows visitors to read blogs easy. They also get updated often because RSS feeds gets updated too whenever you post something new.

Submit your Blog to Blog directories - these are less sophisticated sites - because they simple contain categories and subcategories and blogs. Just like website directories but these contain just blogs. Example: http://www.blogarama.com

Submit your best blog posts to Blog Carnivals - this is very little known - blog carnivals are sites that list the top blog posts. For example this blog: http://www.therealmind.com

If you search the blog you'll find that they are looking for blog posts/articles related to meditation (which is what their blog is about).

There's a directory that lists all of these sites that accept articles/blog posts http://blogcarnival.com/bc

They have a submission form and you can submit your best blog posts to 10 sites or to as many as you wish from their hundreds in no time. It's important that you only submit what you think are your best blog posts.

Once your submissions are accepted they are listed on all the websites you've submitted to. Sometimes they also comment on your blog to let you know they have accepted your submission.

So these are sites that want content - and they will link to it.

Use your website resources - Add an optin form on your blog if you are building a list, promote your products on the sidebar if you have products and/or services. So use your blog as a marketing tool. That's also one BIG reason why it's vital to have a blog. It's a weapon that gets you traffic/leads/sales. And all you have to do is post content on it...

>> OutRankSmart™ software next upgrade will do all I mentioned here automatically that is rss submission, blog directory submission and blog carnival submission. It will do more than that too.

Finally I like to tell you that having a blog on your website also increases your website rankings. If you put content on the blog search engines love content! Plus if you link to the website from the blog posts sometimes; you give pagerank to your website as well.

So not only your blog itself will rank high in the search engines (I mean the blog posts for specific keywords) but also your website will get a boost in pagerank and looks more of an authority by search engines when you have a blog updated regularly with new and useful content.

How To Automatically Reply To Link Exchange Requests Via Email!

Is it boring to reply to link exchange requests that you get via email? I think you'll say a yes.

I found a solution, it's especially useful when your business grows and you'll start getting like 3 or more link exchange requests every day and your email is flooded with these un replied emails - plus you'll also loose on the opportunity on getting backlinks if you don't reply.

So this solution requires a Gmail account - they have a gadget that you need to enable and no other email client currently has this gadget. I'll show you how to set up everything with screenshots below.

>> This gadget will allow you to click on reply when you see an email from someone who wants to exchange links with you - then click another button and a reply message is automatically filled.

I'll tell you what message I created and send to these link exchange requests so you can simple copy it and edit it to suit your needs. But no more replying to countless emails saying the same thing.

So signup for a Gmail account or login to your existing account and click on Settings. You'll see this:

Then click on Labs.

Scroll down until you see a Gadget called Canned Responses and then select Enable to enable this gadget.

Click on Save Changes at the bottom.

Now click on Compose Mail as if you're going to create a new email to send to someone.

In the Subject Field type the reply subject, here's what I use:

Re: link exchange request noadware
In the Body Field here's what I use and recommend you use (why I tell you in a second):

Hi,

If you're asking for a link exchange with my site deletespyware-adware.com then please I suggest you check out my link directory. That's the place I will put your link (in the category you desire). Please take a look at:

http://www.deletespyware-adware.com/links/resources.html

Once there please click on Add Link so you submit your website. Alternatively you can also go directly to submission form at: http://www.deletespyware-adware.com/links/addlink.php

We cannot reply to all link exchange requests we receive that's why we've setup this system. We do check all submissions weekly or bi weekly and you will get an email once we approved your website and listed it.

Thank You,
Karl Sultana

Then click on Canned Responses button that will appear and click on New Canned Response under Save just like screenshot:

Then you'll see a confirmation message:

Click OK.

You can create as many canned responses as you like. Just repeat the procedure again. In a second I tell you how to use the canned messages.

Before I will explain why I created and wrote that message in my canned response. These people that are emailing and asking for a link exchange I just told them to basically go visit my link directory (so they can see it's neat and the place I will link to them) - then I told them to use the submission form to submit their website.

>> So you need to have a submission form on your website and a well organized link directory. I use AutoLinksPro to do both of those and more.

I also told them (so they feel secure) that I check all submissions weekly or bi weekly. I also told them that they get an email when their submission is reviewed. They feel safe this way and won't think along these lines: "Oh this guy probably does not ever look at my submission so why bother wasting my time."

The AutoLinksPro script will email them automatically if I approve/reject their link, it also automatically adds the link to my link directory (no ftp required). So this all makes it easy.

Next: How to use the canned messages!

Now when you receive an email, just open it, click reply and click on Canned Responses. Then select the canned response you want to auto type by clicking on it under Insert. The message gets auto typed in less than a second and you're ready to send.

Here's screenshot:

So that's it.

Here's a recap:

1) You enabled the Canned Responses from Settings > Labs in your Gmail account.

2) You created canned responses messages, therefore messages that Gmail can automatically type for you. You saved these canned responses.

3) When you receive a link exchange request email you simple hit reply, select the canned response and it will be automatically written.

That's it. It is efficient, this method will still allow you to check the websites doing link exchange with you because when they submit their website you can review it before it's listed in your link directory if you use AutoLinksPro.

How To Get #1 Ranked Within 8 Hours Or Less In Google Updates

Hi,

It takes like 30 minutes to do and probably very few know about it yet. What is Google Updates first of all?

If you go to Google you'll see the new options they added, there's a link called Show Options and if you click it you see the new options.

Basically this allows searchers to search specific sites like Blogs, Forums and one of them is Updates.

I got ranked #1 for the keyword noadware which gets around 49,500 monthly visitors according to Google's own keyword research tool. Here's a screenshot of the ranking:

The link that I got ranked was not my website, but a brand new Twitter account which had ZERO followers and just two tweets.

So how did I do this? You probably can do this for practically any keyword you wish as long as they are not very competitive - long tail are the best - because if you use common keywords like computer there are many twits that contain that word and Google updates if you go and see will show them all (go to see how).

Long tail are keywords which have 3 or more words.

Create a new Twitter account or use your existing twitter account, and just post a Twit. Then put the keyword you want to rank for in Google Updates as the first word/s of the Twit. Then of course put a link to your website (shorten it or not probably does not matter since links on Twitter have nofollow tags anyway).

That's it.

Google Updates use Twitter as the primary source in fact most often you see twits there - since Twitter is basically Updates!

I don't know how many people actually go to Google Updates when they're searching - but as you can guess some will... The benefit is traffic to your twitter account - and there's the twit listed too which displays the link so you can also get clicks to your website directly from the listing.

How To Create A Llink Exchange Directory! 90% Of Webmasters Get This Wrong!

It's true 90% of webmasters don't have a link exchange directory as it should be. 30% of those completely miss the point and it's like they don't know what they're doing at all.

So here's the right way to create a link exchange directory. There's no talking in here for long... 1 Mind Map which you can download below will explain it all step by step...

Link Exchange Directory Creation

You can download Google Picassa if you don't have Windows Photo Viewer that comes with Vista. You can open pictures in full screen, zoom in and zoom out easily. It's better than viewing the mind map in the browser. To open image with Picassa or Windows Viewer click on the link, than right click on the mind map and select Save Image As.

In case you're wondering what are the benefits anyway of having a link exchange directory the RIGHT way here they are:

1) Search engines will like your website more, the more it's well structured and easy to navigate the more they like it.

2) Your link partners won't get frustrated when they're looking to find their link on your linkspages.

3) Your visitors won't get bored with tons of links that confuses them.

How To Be More Effecient - Using Shortcuts...

Hi,

This post will reveal how to be more efficient by using keyboard shortcuts, buttons and windows other shortcuts. This is what I personally use and how I configured my computer so I can be more efficient (and more fun since it's less annoying).

This not only helps me when I'm doing SEO but in everything else I do in an Internet Business. I mean it's a business using a computer - maybe it's worth your time knowing how to actually use the computer more efficiently to save time.

List of keyboard shortcuts I use (Test them out to see which ones you might find useful):

Windows logo key ==> Open or close the Start menu
Windows logo key + D ==> Display the desktop
Windows logo key + M ==> Minimize all windows
Windows logo key + R ==> Open the Run dialog box
Windows logo key + a number ==> If you have programs on quick launch if for example you press 1 along with windows logo key the first shortcut in quick launch opens - if you press 2 the second one, etc.

Keyboard buttons

Your keyboard may be different so you may have different buttons but I have buttons that when I press them I can open calculator, windows mail, web browser, windows media player, play pause or stop a video and a lot more.

So click these buttons on your keyboard to explore and see if anything is good. For example I never go to C: Program files, or waste 20 seconds to open calculator. Just press one button.

Computer Shortucts

This one depends on which version of windows you have, if you have mac it's completely different. But this is what I do that you can replicate maybe:

==> Use quick launch so with a click you can open the most frequently used programs. Note: Use different icons as well. So if you place two folders on quick launch they will both have the same icon and it's not that easy to tell which one is which. Right click on one folder, Select Properties, click on Change Icon.

==> Windows messenger or antiviruses by default open up when you turn on your computer. However you can open up almost any other program as well. Don't open all programs because that can make your computer start slow then.

==> On desktop I usually put text files with notes.

==> Vista users you can find tons of different gadgets from the Internet to put on the sidebar. The one I use is called QuickLaunch - which just like the Windows Quicklaunch it allows me to open up folders, programs, etc with a click.

I think these tips should be helpful to save you some time. It's also less frustration to open ftp software - you can do it with a click - no need to make a research on your computer for it.

Thanks

Link Exchange Requests Via Email - Super Tips!

Hi,

If you do link exchanges by emailing webmasters these super tips will increase the responses to your emails... result is more links!

Many times you send emails and not receive a reply. I shall reveal the right way to approach a webmaster, what to say in the email and everything else to start getting responses and a lot of them!

It's easy to just compose an email and hit the send button - but to get a reply you need to do a little more than that.

What you should include in the email?

First of all keep it short and sweet, there's no need to explain the benefits and all that - it's boring and you should anyway always ask for a link exchange to someone who is already actively doing it - (check his website, if he has a link exchange directory he is active).

If he is doing link exchanges there's no need to explain to him what it is, the benefits and all that. Don't waste his time.

Second always include the link information. This is the Title of your website (which should be a keyword), Description and Url. So in email tell him, look to link to me use this information.

Title of site: dog food
Description: We sell all kinds of pet products including for dogs...
URL: http://www.yourdomain.com

Third always include the html code, not just the link information but the actual code so they just copy & paste it - you make their life easy.

Huge tip:

There are TWO ways to write an email, like I said short and sweet is best. You can use both and test to see which one gets you better results (the one which gets you most replies).

First is to actually link to the website and then in email you can tell him, look I've already linked to you... now link back to me please... This approach is something great because they obviously know you're done something for them already.

However the downside is that you have to spend more time with that. Means you have to remove the links of those that do no reply, and add them too in the first place.

Second way which I highly recommend is to ask them if they are interested for a link exchange. Then tell them look if you are interested just reply and I'll link back to you first. Then add also of course your link information and html code. Tell them here's my html code and linking information.

This second method will save you more time, you only link to them if they are interested. The approach is still great, because you actually are asking them a question and you look interested and personal. It's also short and sweet they read it in a flash and just hit reply and tell you YES or Ok, let's do it - it's great for them.

The worst link exchange emails are those that are long and those that are unfriendly saying something like:

Link to me first please.
Or
I will link to you first but if I don't receive a reply back from you within two days I remove your link.

Those are not very friendly. So use the second method, probably it's more simple than you currently do it.

Thanks

Lazy Cash Formula Review

Update: Not recommend, Google Adwords disabled my account. See bottom of post for reason.

I tried this product like two months ago and I wish to review it - it's rare that I try such products but this one says: Just copy & paste.

So it was the easiest one to actually test.

I watched all 12 videos and basically all it says in step by step detail is to open a new Google Adwords account (you can even search in Google for promotional codes to get some free clicks) and then in your members account of Lazy Cash Formula copy & paste the first campaign.

First campaign and all other campaigns, some 12 of them contain your affiliate link for an affiliate product, handful of ads and keywords. There are a handful of adgroups which basically contain ads and keywords.

It's anyway super easy no need to have a clue about Adwords to do the thing.

The results is what I was interested in next, because the setup procedure was done quite easy.

The campaign I tested was an affiliate product in the money making niche - it's actually the Lazy Cash Formula. Later one I added another campaign in Adwords in a different niche, something in the health niche but a product that is not highly competitive at all.

So the campaign I added made me a sale after 178 clicks, after 10 days which costed $63.21 and earned $42.13. These are the exact numbers because I recorded them. So still not in profit.

Then some "problems" started to occur.

Basically the keywords in this campaign started to be marked as Low Quality Score - and the campaign started to generate few impressions, few clicks, always fewer and fewer until it's almost like it's paused.

After 20 days campaign just got 207 clicks only. I mean is this Google Adwords which they say instant traffic? Lazy Cash Formula say ads and keywords are optimized to convert still that little clicks and impressions.

So I added a new campaign after a total of 20 days with that campaign getting too little impressions and traffic.

This one not in the making money online niche.

This one got a bit more clicks, 566 in close to a month, I still believe that's not a lot in an entire month. I spent $245.19 in Adwords and earned $65.52. Not in profit neither for second campaign.

So basically within close to two months I was not in profit, few clicks, few impressions, just 3 sales for two different campaigns.

I could have let both campaigns running for longer.

However the reason I then stop is because even this second campaign started to generate few clicks, and keywords showing the message: Landing page poor quality score.

Promoting affiliate products in the money making niche is something Google does not really like - that's why then I tried a new campaign.

However this second one too started to get too little traffic and keywords almost all displaying "low quality score rarely seen" message.

The other thing I would say is that, another test would not be bad also because I spent little - so leaving it to run for longer or testing maybe another campaign (they add some two new each month) would not be a problem.

But thing is two months, no profit, no hundreds daily earned, and my ads rarely seen on Google - too few traffic at that rate I make hundreds daily in a century.

That's my honest review. Someone else might experience something different who knows. For me I will not look at this again until long... it's true that it requires few maintenance because you just check your Google Adwords account daily and do some very little tweaks to it. However in close to two months I expected more, after reading all those promises in salesletter.

Update: Google just disabled my account and also told me I cannot open another Google Adwords account neither in the future. This is serious now, they said my landing page and sites I was advertising seriously went against their Terms of Service. This time Dan Lok who recommended me this program has upseted me a bit, since usually he says he reviews programs that he promotes.

I think this is just another REASON why these 1 page salesletter promising income in thousands or more are just bull shit 99% of them like I always thought.

P.S. Remember the saying online about these programs... "Too good to be true means probably it is"

It's the same thing when it appears Too Lazy

How can you make money if you don't do anything real, anything that helps others - if all you do is something too laazzyy??

Thanks

How To Redirect Multiple Domains Correctly

How To Redirect Multiple Domains Correctly

One of the reasons why you would want to do this is if let's say you bought a lot of domains. Then you wish to redirect all these domains to your main domain.

Usually you would want to do this if you have domain like for example: dogfood.com and wish to buy mispelling domains to grab the traffic.

dgfood.com
dogfod.com

Or you buy yourcompanyname.com OR yourname.com and for all these you simple want to redirect traffic to one of your websites.

There could be other reasons but that's one of the most popular reasons for buying lots of domains.

For SEO purposes it's best NOT to just use the Meta Refresh code to redirect.

Here's how to properly do it:

If you have lots of these domains pick one of them (any one), let's call it Domain A and redirect it using a 301 redirection to your main site.

Then the other domains redirect them to this domain Domain A, again using a 301 redirection.

So what this does is you'll have just one domain only redirecting to your main site - this is a good technique to apply when you have a lot of domains that you want to redirect. Not when you have one or two, in that case just use 301 redirection and redirect them to which site you please.

This is the same technique you can use if you have subdomains instead of domains and you wish to redirect them. Always assuming you have lots of them not just 1-2, in that case there's never the need to follow this technique.

Why you do this technique you may ask?

Well, it's just a matter of having less redirections, because you'll always have ONE redirection to the main site - no matter how many domains or subdomains you want to redirect.

Simple technique. Google always puts up "Theories" about redirection, this is an SEO Friendly way to use redirections without making Google wonder why you have lots of redirections (1 instead of hundreds).

Side Note: We use 301 redirection because it's a permanent redirection. Google does not like the Meta Refresh way to redirect... what that does is when you go to a page it automatically refreshes (as if someone pressed the F5 on keyboard or the Refresh button in browser) and the page refreshes to a new one.

Google does not like this sort of "confusion" - the 301 redirection (also known as permanent redirect) makes it clear that page has moved permanently, now it's this one.

So these are all simple ways to make your website/s SEO friendly. In the SEO Booklets you get a lot of these simple techniques that ALL help both to improve your rankings and also to avoid penalties and get Google to love your website and label it as Authority on the subject including reliable and friendly website.

There's one of the three FREE bonuses you get dedicated entirely to answer many of these questions. Remember you can create your websites as you wish, these simple techniques don't have to interfere with the way you wish to create your websites.

How To Redirect Multiple Domains Correctly

How I sovled all his SEO problems with two sentences...

Hello,

The following story will reveal to you one common "mistake".

It's between me and a friend of mine that I've mentored before. Basically he got some great rankings after all that I've taught him.

However he could not get one important fact and stick with it. Basically he knew that backlinks are important to increase your rankings - but he had too many questions about SEO on his mind that it was hard to make the first move.

If I do this what will or might happen? So before doing anything he used to send me an email with a question.

In other words a guy full of questions who needs a lot of answers before he actually starts doing something.

We all where like that at some point, including me.

So I told him TWO sentences that like a miracle answered a ton of his questions - and got him moving...

Get 15-30 link exchanges every day, then get one way links too; some 5 every day from 5 different websites. Do that everyday.

Sounds simple right?

It is, and it's very powerful IF just like it says: You do it everyday!

So it means 15-30 link exchanges every day. Then join 5 forums every day and post one time in each one. To get those 5 one way links you can also do 1 article submission every one or two days to hundreds of article directories - with a software or a service.

But that's the big point.

My final word: Do that ONLY if you have done keyword research. So you use the keywords properly in the anchor text of the backlinks.

Karl Sultana
"King Of SEO"

P.S. You're lucky because there's my new SEO course, the SEO Booklets that will show you how to do keyword research, use anchor text properly, get backlinks the right way - did I say everything else? YES!

It's your solution to get high rankings without frustrations!

Top 3 Link Building Methods For Maximum ROI

(ROI is return on investment)

I dare to say that if you discover how to get backlinks, it's better than trying hard to know everything about SEO... just to show how good getting backlinks is, they're like the fuel that pushes the rocket upwards. In your case they're the fuel that pushes your rankings upwards.

But there are many little 'bits and pieces' you need to take care of when it comes to getting backlinks. Nothing really special, but they are important for specific reasons.

The time and money you spend getting backlinks should be managed, so you spend it on good backlink generation methods that give you fast and great return on your investment (ROI). This is especially good because of the fact that most people nowadays are busy.

You don't want to do all link building methods that you can think of. No! You want to do the most effective link building methods, and so if you spend time on getting links manually by contacting bloggers to exchange articles with you - something few do, and you feel exhausted because no one replies, then of course you need to stop and use a better method.

So here they are...

The top three link building methods for quality backlinks and quantity (if used the right way) for me at least, have been:

Link exchanges, the best method to get quantity of links - I mean a lot.

Forum posting, another great method to get a lot of links and even quality if you post on forums in your niche. (forums are full of content, that's why you get quality links).

Article submission, a great method to get quality links.

Again there are specific strategies to do these what I consider top three (in my opinion and experience) effectively.

Now you need only those three methods? Yes and No. Yes, if you have limited time and money. No, if you have all the time available to use other methods, or money to pay others to do the other methods as well.

Most often, your time and money is limited, you don't want to invest a lot in SEO, which is just a traffic stream, it's nothing more than another stream of traffic (which you should not rely on it alone for traffic in the long term). Then you want to expand and utilize other traffic building methods. Suggested is also the fact that focusing until you "get it" right in SEO is better than using like 3 different traffic building methods all at once.

The big point is to invest your time and money on the link building methods that will provide the best ROI.

It's always good to use ALL link building methods that exist... but it's like mission impossible.

So apart from those Top Three methods, you can if you afford, invest money or time and use other methods as well. Am I saying don't do directory submission? Yes, if you don't have time - if your time is limited just focus on those three methods, you see rankings improve faster and make some money faster.

To push your site rankings upwards for lots of keywords and make it a BOMB like I call it, you should then use all link building methods including the paid once, that includes submitting to top paid directories, etc. But for most, that's only after you see some profit, and it should be that way.

So the picture here is for you to know how to use your time and money for the Maximum return on your investment. This is also the best way to get rankings quickly and fast.

What else can you do to use the top three link building methods more effectively?

First of all using software such as http://www.outranksmart.com to make link exchanges lightning speed and easy. Use services like Content Crooner, or software to submit to article directories not just submitting manually to top 10 or less directories. That's not going to help a lot if any.

For forum posting, you can hire someone to do it, but it can be quite expensive since it's not a one time fee, it can be a weekly fee or depends whom you find.

Hiring someone from India or Romania sometimes they tend to charge the least.

The of course other important thing is know the right theories like the duplicate content theory from the right folks. I mean some people don't submit to as many article directories as they can, because of fear of this theory. Or they spend countless time spinning articles, etc. You need to learn therefore and stay a bit up to date, with things like that.

Those by the way are all things you can avoid doing, I never spin articles, or that kind of thing.

The other thing is the most important of all, which is proper keyword research. Whatever new tactic you discover in SEO, keyword research is always important.

It's really a do or die thing, so you should discover how to do it properly. You need always to know which keywords you want to rank for, for various reasons, one being for proper usage of anchor text in backlinks.

You have the pieces of the puzzle here, just put them together and you get high rankings for your chosen keywords.

4 Very Important Strategies To Know About Getting Links

Graphs are used to give you the ideas clearer... Click graphic to see bigger image.

1. The way you get links over time.

That looks ugly and not good. To get ranks get links this way...

Not the very specifics of the graph down to minimum detail is important but the difference between the two graphs. The big clear difference, the way you get the links.

One weird like 1000 links in few days, then nothing for weeks, then again some links for few days, then nothing or a lot... and so on, completely unorganized approach.

The good way is clear, it's showing clearly to search engines that the site is getting links regularly.

Search engines do look at how your website gets links over time - what I call the linking pattern.

So the way you get links should look like the right way - not the other one. I'm not mentioning any numbers or specifics here like get 15 link exchanges and 30 one way links per week or anything like that. You just focus to have your "linking pattern" as much as possible as graph number 2. That's my point here.

For specifics you know I say 15-30 link exchanges daily is great. No specifics for one way links just of course like I mentioned to not get like 1000 one way links on a single day and then nothing for an entire month.

2. The pages you link to.

Now obviously it's your homepage that's going to have the most backlinks. But there's a better way to do it than just getting ALL backlinks pointing to your homepage.

That's not the right way. It's strange and weird that all the backlinks you have point to your homepage.

The right way is that after some time you get links pointing to your other pages of your website as well, and preferable not to contact us pages (or other "useless" pages), but to your blog post pages, articles, and useful content. Do this not too often but still keep doing it.

In second graph you see that most links point to homepage, yet other pages too did get some links even though little they did get...

3. The anchor text you use.

To do this right the very first step is doing proper keyword research. Plus you should find more than 1 keyword you want to rank for, or else create variations of the keyword like say it's dog food

Then create variations to have more than that one keyword:

dog food on sale
cheap dog food
adopt a dog
etc etc

Because the wrong way to get links is when you use always same anchor text as graph is showing you.

That's strange and weird that all (or almost) backlinks your website has, all have same anchor text. For you it's not strange maybe, for me neither heck we don't care but search engines think there's something strange there.

So...

Every now and then - but not often, yet keep doing it, change the anchor text of the links...

You can use this formula:

Say you want to rank your website for only 1 keyword.

60% of the time use the keyword in the anchor text, while 40% of the time use the keyword variations. Or better still find more than one keyword, and instead of keyword variations use them 40% of the time.

Does this makes sense to you?

Again that's not a rule, it's just a guideline to give you an idea how often to change anchor text.

The big idea here is that if you could look at all the links you have - they should not be all (or almost all) with same anchor text.

4. Getting links from different domains.

Remember these four strategies are crucial, the most important. If you do these right you'll get high rankings and you be doing SEO the right way - that means you also avoid penalties, etc.

This one is also very important to increase your website rankings.

You want to get links from unique websites, different domains therefore.

This is easy to explain. 15,000 backlinks all from the same domain won't help you that much. Google will only give you credit for some 100 of them.

So it's suggested you don't go buy those packages (called Site Wide links) which promise you thousands upon thousands of links - all from same domain - because Google like I said will not give you credit for all those backlinks.

This fourth strategy should also help you to understand that you should not waste time submitting a ton of different urls to sites like Digg.com. One backlink from each website is good. Find other unique domains.

You might think but when doing article submission we're submitting always to same article directories. The point is with article submission other webmasters pick your articles and put them on their website as well giving you more one way links... so that's good to do.

So this fourth technique is useful to avoid wasting money on Site Wide links and time submitting or getting links from same domain.

Most people do this technique the right way.

There you have it!

What's In Next Upgrade Of OutRankSmart Software!

Hello,

Soon within weeks the upgrade will be ready. This time there will be more one way link building methods added.

These include:

Directory submission to hundreds of directories number should be around 2518... plus a feature to submit to niche directories - so someone with a travel related website can submit to the general directories plus those niche directories in travel category. (These are directories which lists just travel related websites). There should be around 1968.

Rss submission to rss directories.

Blog directory submission. This is submitting your blog to blog directories.

Another method that I don't want to reveal what's it... this is the second method the software will have that's very little known. This is to get one way links to your blog and blog posts too. Links from unique content websites, of course all SEO friendly links. Links within content too.

The same handy features as software has right now will be added too of course like autofills forms, fast loading of sites (ten at a time in a tabbed browser within software itself), data about directories like pagerank and lots of other features.

This will save you a lot of money because instead of buying a software for directory submission, one for rss submission, script for link exchanges, etc you just get ONE software that does them all.

These are all quality links, it's not that I was desperate to add these features, I tried also my best to make them as well as possible for the best results for users.

Thanks

Canonical Tag Is Not To Be Abused

Canonical Tag Is Not To Be Abused

This new tag is not something every one has to implement on his website. Most won't need at.

This is much like 301 permanent redirect, so say you have two identical pages, you know that search engines will index only one of them. Now you have the choice to tell search engines which ONE you want indexed, which one should not get indexed.

This tag will help you do just that and more.

However note that it's not just a TAG, because there are ways they've created to handle abuse.

So for instance, if you have the known "useless" pages like Terms and conditions, Privacy Policy, etc... you cannot tell search engines to NOT index those but index your homepage for example, something completely different. So the pages have to be similar or identical for you to use this tag, so it must be used where NEEDED.

The other thing is that if you have two pages identical and you want page A to get indexed because it has a lot of backlinks pointing towards it - then you can use of course the tag on the other page (or more than one if you have multiple similar or identical pages AND just like a 301 redirect, pagerank, backlinks value etc pass to the page you want including the fact that it will get indexed - NOT the other one. The other one won't, it will be ignored.

So very useful if you have like ecommerce site with lots of very similar or identical pages - it used to be that search engines would decide which page they will index, which won't themselves which could create problems. Now you have control over situation.

But I only recommend using or thinking about this tag if you REALLY have some kind of problem with duplicate content issues. Like real visible problems.

Otherwise JUST make your website pages unique with original content so you index ALL pages.

Canonical Tag Is Not To Be Abused

Free Way To Get One Way Links

Even though not the best way, it's great almost fun and easy to do. The idea is to create profile pages in various websites, any website.

However for backlinks to have any real value, you must check to see if the profile page you'll create is blocked or not via robots file and if it's using nofollow tags on the links.

If it's blocked it's useless. So before creating a profile, first click on a member profile, I'm sure the site you find has already plenty of members. Then make sure that page, which is a profile page is not being blocked by robots.

You can use Google Webmaster Tools to check robots file, following their pretty easy instructions, if you're new to robots. Then a plugin that highlights nofollow links exist as well. Or else right click on the link in profile page and click properties, it will have rel nofollow writting if it's with nofollow. But it's better to use a plugin since you want specifically to check not any link on profile page, but YOUR link, the website url. Not all links may have the nofollow tag.

So this method the only thing is checking if page is blocked by robots or with nofollow tag. Finding websites that allow you to create profiles is the easiest thing. Even forums if you join some, fill profile especially the location where you can input a website url.

Social sites like myspace and you can input the url in Google and click on Similar sites link. That will present you with a list of related sites to myspace.

Story websites as well and to find a lot of them repeat same technique. In other words websites which have a Join button or Signup for an account and so on. A good idea is to input not just the website url in the profile but also add more info as much as they allow. So there's also some content if possible.

Not all websites are the same, some will allow other options, for example some ask you for your rss feed which is a great thing. Others allow you to insert links to your blogs as well as your website. Others allow you to create a blog something myspace does but they do not allow direct linking to your website. Myspace is therefore useless.

The idea here is to get backlinks from these websites, these are one way links you're going to get so they are very powerful. But you need to be a bit careful so you don't waste your time getting useless links.

How To Systemize Your SEO

So your new website first thing is start getting backlinks... and 5% of the time left do some onpage optimization on it, like meta tags and alt tags. But the 95% of your time start link building.

There's something with age of the links in Google algorithms. Which basically mean when you get a backlink the older it gets, means the more time passes the better it's value. So in essence the older your website gets the better your backlinks become. Google will give them more value, you get more rewarded so to speak for those backlinks.

Doing link building from the start is how you get indexed rapidly. Most think of indexing a website as a stage in the process. I think it's not. Just get the best links as fast as you can, that's an advantage over others that do not. The best links are submission to the top paid directories, you want to do it fast because of the linking age I've mentioned.

In no time if you start on link building your website gets indexed and starts to rank. Obviously you should know keywords you're targeted first and foremost, keyword research comes always first.

But then you keep the rythm of 95% of your time on link building and 5% on onpage optimization like adding content. That's how you get the ranks. It's not checking if you got indexed everyday, checking ranks everyday, checking pagerank none of that stuff means squat.

What you really need is this system of link building and taking action on it, applying it. Now there are many ways to get links, but the idea here is the system you need to have in mind to get things moving on. Or you will get stuck in useless and meaningless things like why you did not get indexed yet. That's time wasted.

Most often if you're worrying about that, you either did not really learn seo well or you don't know or have a system to follow to get ranks. Once you know the system, you can create a brand new website and boom you instantly know step by step what to do.

In fact it's so powerful knowing the system that you can do no seo, outsourcing completely everything. Just tell employees what to do and how to do it. That's it. This constant worrying on seo why your pagerank is 3 not 4 and so forth should be banned if you want to progress forward rapidly.

Incredible Easy Ways To Get Free Backlinks

It's easy to get backlinks not that these methods are one click and submit to thousands of websites. No, it's because your goal is to get those 30 backlinks a day approximately.

Search engines look more into your link building pattern rather than how much links you have got today. Getting a thousand links today will do you little good if you don't get anything for like a week.

It may actually look spammy if you over do it. So use these free methods if you don't want to opt for paid methods. These are the best of the best.

1) Forum Posting.

This is simple finding forums related to your website, in your niche and then joining, make sure they allow signatures and post a reply.

One of the top ways for one way links.

2) Article Submission.

Submit to top article directories. I won't suggest you spend all that time to submit to other article directories as well manually. Instead use that time for forum posting. Spend time wisely therefore.

Probably the best way to get one way links because you get quality and quantity. Quantity because most webmasters that like your articles will put them on their websites and that gives you MORE backlinks.

3) Link Exchanges.

There are many link exchange services like membership sites where you join, and exchange links with other members. There are a lot of these membership sites and you can easily get many link exchanges this way. Adding a submission form on your link exchange directory will get you even more links. Get some free script to do this. There are many websites online that have a collection of free scripts.

The form is like a contact us form, but with some extra fields.

This is in the list of best free ways because you can get a LOT of links this way to improve the quantity of links you have.

4) Story Sites

The thing with this is that you should not get too many links from the same domain. That's quite useless, spend time better. If you find a story site, which accepts news stories and so on, then try to find related stories sites using Google. Find other sites like it for submission. To story sites you can submit an article you have on your website or blog.

There are many story sites, when you find one type the url in Google search box and click Search. Then next to the domain in search result click on Similar sites and you see a list of potential related sites.

Ok, there you go, you should conquer some keywords with those free methods alone, without spending a dime. Assuming you have done keyword research properly so you know how to use them in anchor text.

You have both quality and quantity with those methods. Don't try to get as many links as you can in a single day. You end up getting too many links which is not bad, but you'll probably won't do it over and over again, that's the bad thing - your linking patter won't look good.

How To Improve Your Site Quality With Filenames

Little things added together will have a big impact. Thousands of ants can turn your kitchen in a nightmare, while one will not been seen at all.

So for onpage optimization techniques to have effect you need to apply as many of them as possible. Easy and simple techniques, one of them is about file names of your website pages and also your images. Two good ways are to name the file something related to the webpage or the picture if it's a picture file.

Think of your visitors, what filename will make their life easier. If it's an apple image, apple dot html is better than imageone dot html. Same thing for filenames of website pages. If the page has an article about cat owners, than name it cat-owners dot html or whatever your file extension is, maybe php or htm or asp. But cat-owners is the tip here. Use also punctuation symbol - to seperate words instead of using the word and, and it's better than the other symbol _.

One way to look at how your website filenames and folders and structuring is, is by connecting via ftp to your website. You will see in the root folder all your main folders. Is it confusing as hell? You should figure out what your site is about by reading the folder names and the filenames you have. It should be that easy, and it's also very easy to do this simple change.

Please do not go editing your folder and filenames, it will result in tons of 404 page not found. You can though rename and use a permanent redirection. Not normal redirection, permanent, 301 redirect. Or it will be a bigger problem.

These let's call them mistakes occur because you try to create a website for your entertainment which is fine. But always think of the real people that's going to visit your website. If you do that, you can figure out many of these onpage optimization techniques quickly assuming you have a good knowledge of websites.

The other one about filenames is avoiding using characters in the filenames like the question mark symbol, exclamation or other characters sometimes generated automatically when using certain web design functions, which I'm not an expert in.

Too long of filenames is not bad but keep it moderate, I mean ask the question yourself, what would you think if you just saw the filename you have? Some filename are like sentences. Blogger blogs automatically generate quite a bit long of filenames, but that size is appropriate. Note also the use of - symbol to separate words. Now blogger is owned by Google, and optimized for the search engines. That should lit a bulb for you. If Google is doing for their website, in this case Blogger, than it should be something quite good.

Think And Plan For SEO Success

There are many seo techniques you should apply, many different strategies to adopt for keyword research most of all. But your goal once you know how to do and how to do it, is to focus on link building.

That's not news, but still you need to master a bit seo, gain the knowledge first otherwise even link building alone is not going to help you, if you do it wrong.

So you have to do things right but do the right things. Purchase a book or something to learn, you won't really learn from forums, you just get a tip here and there. Truth be told even on forums specialized about seo you won't find everything right, you may find false information and theories. SEO masters are not on forums, they're enjoying the high quality traffic.

As long as you're not in a paid forum or membership site, that's another story, but free forums, even if they are the most popular. They're still abundant with newbies. So that's not the right place to learn.

Forums are more for discussions than for learning. One other mistake is thinking that to get high rankings you just need to buy a software - or get indexed - or add related content. Means, you just believe in a blue moon.

That's not the right approach, probably whatever it is you're trying to do, like playing golf. You think you can beat the professionals without a coach? Think again.

Planning is very important and using mind maps to plan. What you want from your website? Why you wish to do seo? If you want to do seo for traffic that's not a good reason at all. You need to know also what you're going to do with the traffic, which are real humans remember. A plan of getting traffic, converting and using it to get results, your bottom line making money.

So jump from trying to make money by playing the lottery, to serious thinking, planning and knowing what you're going to achieve. Not just shooting without aiming, you'll get more results and faster while avoiding silly mistakes. Planning itself, while you're doing it, especially with mind maps you can pin point what it is you can do better, or you can avoid...

So take search engine optimization as one point on the map that you have to follow to get results. This is simple stuff, it can tell you why optimizing for the keyword food is wrong! Why optimizing for the keyword cars is wrong! Why starting seo later not now is wrong! And other simple things like these that can make big differences.

Keyword Research Advanced But Simple

Your goal should be to get ranks in Google, because ultimately you're going to get same ranks or better in MSN and probably even Yahoo.

So you want to use Google to check for competitors number. To do this visit Google International homepage, not your Google country domain because most of your visitors are going to come from Google main site not using your country domain. Assuming you're not targeting only visitors from your country. But that's rarely the case.

So competition number may vary in different country domain search engine. And you should also use an updated keyword research tool, that's very important. Take keyword research very seriously, because it's your destiny, either you're going to rank for keyword that convert traffic into your desired action - either you're going to get keyword that get decent amount of traffic or not.

Sometimes focusing on just one to three keywords is not enough, since remember you're not going to get all the traffic the keyword research tools tells you. Since it's not just the number one ranked website that gets traffic. All sites including the pay per click listing get some of that traffic.

Opting for paid keyword tools will help you find keyword with low competition and high traffic volume. Most free tools either display just a hundred keywords or worse they display inaccurate search volume data.

Google's own keyword research tool is one of the best free keyword research tools. One good idea is to use a paid tool that is specifically designed to find you different types of keywords, keyword variations and so on. To really find keywords that your competitors are not using, and then checking the traffic stats using the Google tool.

One of the popular keyword tools out there is like a dictionary and thesaurus of keywords, you can extract so big of a list that you'll be sure to find keywords that have very little competition and high traffic. Those are gems.

But for traffic volume I won't even rely on the paid tool, Google's tool is the one I rely on, it comes directly from Google. For competition number you'll have to find that out manually. Google's tool also displays synonyms for keywords, but it's also limited next to some of the most popular paid tools.

So to recap, check competition using Google International domain, using Google tool to find the actual and accurate keyword traffic stats and use a paid tool to find keywords that have low competition.

How To Write And Submit Articles

If you are doing article submission using same articles you've posted on your website here's what I found out to work best.

First of all you can write articles and put them on your website. Then do not submit them to directories the same day. Submit the next day. Plus if you put them on a blog ping the blog. Here's a little known secret, ping also the page your article is on. You can ping pages, not just a blog. A blog consists of pages as well. Pinging tells spiders to come visit the page because there's something new on it.

You want spiders to see the article on your website first, not on article directories first. So it's sort of becomes your property.

If you post it in article directories same day, spiders see the same article on several sites - they simple choose who they think the real owner of article is, and that page will get the most benefit.

So you want to be known as the real owner, so wait a day and ping blog if you placed it on a blog. If not a blog make sure you still wait a day before submission and make also sure your site structuring is well. So it should be easy to navigate from homepage to the page your article is on.

Not saying link to page from homepage, but if it's an article create a folder called articles and link to it from homepage or some prominent page and put on that page links to your articles. Make it easy, and to get this right put yourself in the shoes of your visitor. How does it feel navigating your website. If it's feels good spiders will find it good too 99 percent of the time, if it's bad means confusing for example than spiders too will get a bit confused.

So this is how to make sure your blog posts or articles pages get indexed and sometimes very fast. Avoid allowing spiders to see your article as a copy, let them see your article first. This will eliminate the chance of your page taking longer to get indexed. I also always link back from bio of articles to the site I've have my article on. So the article directories give credit to my website, the site where the original article is on. That spiders see my article is the original copy and the article directories as sites recommending my article.

If article directories do not link back to your website, they are not giving credit to the original article. Sometimes it hurts them for duplicate content, because it's stealing content without giving credit to the appropriate site.

How To Properly Link To External Sites

You know that linking to another site is like casting a vote to that site, giving it credit. The more credit and votes a site has the better for its rankings.

Now when linking to another website you're giving some of your website power and credibility and so to speak you give away pagerank. You don't want to link to external sites if there isn't a real reason behind it. The more external links you have the more power you're giving away.

The only time it's good to link to external websites is when doing link exchanges. A website links to yours and you link to them. That's fair, because you give and get credit.

The other way is by using nofollow tag on the external links. But some still do not use it the right way. Using nofollow tag on an external links will appear normal to visitors but for search engines it's like there's no link at all.

Do not use it on your link exchange partners. You risk link partners finding out and remove your link from their website. It's going to get easier very soon that those who use nofollow tags on link exchange partners to get easily caught.

Do not use it if you steal or grab for a better word articles from article directories. You risk penalty of duplicate content. Give credit to author or if you don't want to link to external website when you should, then write your own content. That's better obviously than using some other people's article.

If you start a blogger blog, first thing you notice is a link to blogger itself. If it's not against blogger TOS that you should read, remove that external link.

So backlinks from other sites is like they're giving you votes and credit that's why your rankings increase. Linking to external websites if you overdo it your rankings may get a decrease. That's also why you want to make sure after say two month of doing link exchanges that your link partners are linking back. Then remove the ones that are not.

That way you do not have too many external links. One other punishment of external links is when you link to a so called bad neighborhood. But too many webmasters worry too much about this. First of all if you are using articles and linking to external websites, grab articles from a trusted article directory.

A note about link exchange partners, is that if their website looks good and clean and they are indexed, you don't have to worry they're bad neighborhood at all.

If you use a software like OutRankSmart, it will find only clean websites for link exchanges, making your life easier.

How To Tell Google To Displays Sitelinks

Sitelinks is still a new feature, and Google displays these extra links in search results. Normally it displays a title linking to your website url, description and your website url in green words.

But sitelinks are additional links not just the normal things it displays. It's like a menu for searchers to easily navigate the website. Sitelinks in fact were invented so searchers can go directly go some of the site pages from the search results.

Directly to the blog for example without having to visit the site first. You can allow Google to put sitelinks, this short menu as well for your website. They display it for particular keywords, so not for all keywords that your site appears. For example searching for dog food may show your website plus sitelinks menu, while searching for cheap dog food may not show sitelinks at all.

Generally speaking, most often it's the site ranked number that has the sitelinks. That opinion is from observation only.

Things worth knowing:

If you get a Google Webmaster Account, you can tell Google if it's currently showing sitelinks for your website any urls that you wish not to display in the sitelinks menu. Just by clicking Block next to the url. Note that doing so, that link will not be displayed for a period of time, then you will have to block it again. Period probably is somewhere in the range of six months.

Google does not display sitelinks manually to some big websites. Any website, big or small can display sitelinks in search results. It's done automated not manually.

So here's some tips to have a better chance of getting sitelinks menu. A common menu for all your website pages is a great positive thing to do. On all your website pages, have the same constant menu. The links in that menu deemed important will have a big chance to be displayed in sitelinks menu.

You just think about a menu that your visitors will find useful, and display it on all your website pages. Those links make sure are the links you also want to be displayed in sitelinks. So if you want to display contact us page in the menu of your website, it's useless for sitelinks menu so put the nofollow tag on it.

Create a common menu for all your website pages and use the nofollow tag on links that are useless to be displayed in sitelinks. For example, it's useless to get Privacy Policy displaying in search results. Who cares? A features page, blog, articles page and so on are good pages to list in sitelinks menu.

If you can display the same menu twice on each page. That's double powerful, one on top and one on bottom works the best. But again do not sacrifice your conversion rate just to display sitelinks in search results.

So this article have showed you what are sitelinks, how to have a big chance to allow Google to display sitelinks for your website plus how to block some urls from appearing in sitelinks menu.

Top 10 Dumbest SEO Mistakes

These are the dumbest mistakes and I've did some of them myself. These are not in any particular order or something.

1) Optimizing your website for a word related to your website, like Dog if you sell dog food, or business if you sell something related to business.

2) Getting backlinks, doing onpage optimization and then doing keyword research, instead starting with keyword research.

3) Linking to linkspages from your homepage instead of linking to a link directory. So like page one, page two, page three and so on. When you realize your visitors don't like it and you have to restructure your website, there's a big chance you loose all link partners.

4) Thinking Google is bad, or they don't like you and so you try to submit your website to search engines using a software or service to get your website indexed. It does not work so you hire someone to get it indexed... and then continue "seo", one big mistake. Discover the problem not try to find a quick fix.

5) Trying to get a high pagerank instead of trying to master seo. Master seo, get the right knowledge and then you get high rankings not just high pagerank. Makes more sense!

6) Blocking links directory with robots file, nofollow tag or some other way. Link partners won't link to you if they find out - some free plugins make it easy to find out. If you loose all link partners at once because the word get spreads out about your wrong doing your rankings might get a bad hit.

7) Trying to rank for a keyword which has a billion competition number. OR when you know there's ebay, Google, CNN, MSN, etc in the number one position.

8) Relying on cpanel of your webhost for traffic stats like Awstats. Those stats are not accurate at all. Get a Google Analytics account for real traffic data.

9) Using outdated keyword research tools that provides very inaccurate data. Stay up to date, some tools get outdated, no longer are accurate. Google's own tool is currently the best.

10) Using black hat is like playing the lottery. Little chance to win (get results) and big chance of loosing (getting banned or no results).

So there you have it, according to me those are the dumbest mistakes. These are not a silly mistake like forgetting to do meta tags on your homepage. These can make or break a rank. These are costly mistakes, you can waste a ton of money and spend a ton of time for nothing.

Most of the mistakes have to do with you and your results. Your bottom line should also be getting results, that's what you should be thinking of, so whenever you make any decision or change think of results it will achieve.

Metrics, knowing the results you're going to get is very important. Do not jump from a building blindfold. The dumbest mistakes are also the most costly mistakes.

CopyRight All Rights Reserved. If it's a good positive benefit for your visitor probably you're on the right track, Google will not penalize you. Since their aim is to give the searcher, your visitor benefits.

Let say for example you had a page in English language, and you changed the language to Spanish. But you did not bother changing the meta tags since all you did was translate the page from English to Spanish. You're confused whether or not to make meta tags in Spanish as well.

Your visitor will like it? No, if he finds your website in Google, read in English the title and description... he expects an English written page, makes totally sense. He may not even recognize Spanish, can't read it at all.

So figure out always what your visitor, not what you like or dislike, need! The same is true for almost everything you do. Most of the optimization techniques you apply on your website, the so called onpage optimization, the bottom line for those optimization is to give your visitor the ultimate experience, in area of navigation, quality content and so on.

So you're optimizing your website to get high rankings of course. But if you yet don't know why you do these techniques versus others or nothing at all, then now you know... This can be news for you, since you can adopt the new mindset now, and start thinking of your visitor. It's the reason why you do onpage optimization.

At first you may be thinking, oh we have to do this and that and alt tags on our website, because spiders love them. Sort of like seo techniques to make robots come your way and rank your website. Applying the new mindset you can quickly and easy figure out the right techniques known as white hat, versus the bad or risky techniques known as black hat. Plus you can figure what's right or wrong yourself in most cases like the example above.

So always think of your visitor, you'll get rewarded fast. I never try to get the perfect keyword density, in most cases I just write content for the visitor. A 6 percent keyword density is more like a way to get spiders to rank your site, than it's a good way to build a quality website. And I bet that's the reason Google no longer gives so much value to that technique. Plus that's also why I never, ever tried to get a specific percentage of density.

Free Link Building Technique For Bloggers

This technique is used by some top bloggers with good results... actually the more traffic you have the more it will work.

Basically this works by creating a new blog post and linking to other blogs on this post. So you link to them FIRST and then go to their blog and tell them you linked to them. Ask them to check it out and link back to you. Tell them too that this technique is viral and they can get lots of backlinks if they link back.

Do link only to related blogs. This technique is sometimes also known as a Blog Virus For Bloggers. It goes more viral than that though. You also add your blog in the list. Then in blog post tell people to copy the links and create a new blog post and put all links there.

Then they do the same as you did, commenting on the blogs and telling people they have linked to them. So if you can pretty well see, you are getting links from bloggers that you've placed their link on your website. Plus you get links from your visitors who sort of participate and put the links on their website... and do like you did.

It gets viral the more your visitors participate and copy all your links and put them on their blog. You can be creative a bit, maybe offer some bonus for those who participate... or anything that will get them to take action.

Remember, after 1-2 months than go back and check which bloggers linked back and which did not. You can safely remove bloggers who did not link back to you. Those are not interested. Most often those bloggers who link back to you will also comment on the post to let you know.

If you want to make it easy for your visitors to participate then make it easy for them to copy the links. Usually they have to do it manually, but you can tell your webmaster to simple create some box with the required html. They just copy and paste the html code in the blog and they're done.

For your visitors also tell them they have to create a blog post the same way you did, so they too go viral, they too will get visitors putting the links on their blogs. Plus they too have to tell the bloggers they linked back. Exactly same thing you did.

So there's a way to get free backlinks for your blog, which can be fun too. I suggest you leave it there for 1-2 months, then just remove the blogs who did not link back.
