Is that familiar?
Anyone experienced it, if you just started out you will too!
Why? Because Google takes the longest time to rank websites. Google algorithms take in consideration time as one of the factors. For example the age of your website, how old are your backlinks, how old is the site you got the backlink from – all are a part of the algorithm.
So the result…
It simple will take longer to rank on Google or I should say – you will see rankings faster in MSN and in Yahoo.
It really boils down to that!
It’s not a penalty… it’s not something you are not doing right… but is there something you can do to speed rankings in Google?
YES! It’s mainly getting backlinks from high pagerank directories, the ones also considered as authority directories – AND do it as soon as possible.
Again it’s optional, you can do it at a later time since these are not all free directories.
These are amongst the TOP 20 Directories.
Yahoo directory at dir.yahoo.com The most expensive. You will see a boost in your Yahoo rankings once you get listed.

Dmoz at dmoz.org (free)

Before submitting make sure your website is in good shape or it will be waste of money. Most will refund you if your website is not approved, but check their submission form instructions first. Some also have a yearly fee not a one time fee.
These all manually check your website, to see the quality. So fix your website from any 404 page not found errors, add content related to your niche like some articles, or start a blog.
Do that first before submitting your website. Things like website structuring is also considered – to see how easy it is to navigate through your website pages. Think yourself as a visitor! Can you reach all important pages of your website easily? Are there any frustrating popups?
Quality is very important even for your rankings.
